Statement of Teaching Philosophy
We believe that great teaching consists of three things:
- Accurate and updated information
- Information presented in an entertaining, conversational format
- Information that inspires wonder by accessing and exploring the mysterious
The above educational philosophy, will both motivate students to keep seeking deeper into the material on their own, as well as retain the information that they have learned and thus, become truly educated. Our approach is to help students understand that education is about theory and practice, not merely learning about theories that are disconnected from the real world and everyday problems. It is about retaining information and becoming adept at weaving together facts and figures into genuine wisdom, which leads to flourishing, productive actions and decisions. This is how to grow not only healthy individuals, but also a prosperous society. These are our firm convictions…it is our mission to see them come to fruition in the 21st century.
